Can AI coding agents integrate your API?
Developers increasingly ask coding agents to pick and integrate APIs. When an agent can't find the right page or field, the integration quietly fails or takes far longer, and the vendor never sees it. Availe shows you what actually happens.
How it works
- Real tasksAn agent gets a small app and a realistic integration task, such as sending a password-reset email with an attachment, a custom header, a tag and idempotency.
- Real agents, isolatedEach run is a fresh, disposable container that can reach only the vendor's public docs and API.
- Checked end to endA run passes only when the result really works: for email, the message has to arrive, with every feature intact.
- Where agents get stuckEvery run is recorded: the pages the agent read, the searches it needed, the errors it hit, and the turns, time and cost it took.
Example
In early tests, agents needed 1–2 docs pages to integrate one email provider and 8–10 for another.
What vendors get
- Pass rates and effort compared with other vendors in the same category.
- The docs pages agents fetched, in order, and the ones that didn't have what they needed.
- Specific, evidence-backed fixes, labelled as docs, API design or SDK.
- Re-runs over time, so you can see whether a change helped.
Status
Availe is an early research preview. The first category is transactional email APIs. Agents currently run as Claude models (Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5) via the Claude Agent SDK. Nothing is published yet; every vendor will see its own results before anything is.
